Mr. Fred Ray Newton, Jr. of Augusta, Georgia passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013. He had a tremendous love for the lake, boating, the beach, mountains and spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed. Mr. Newton was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel and Fred Newton. He is survived by his sister, Debra N. Johnston; brother, Ronald (Rosemary) Newton; niece and nephews, Robert, Ron and Dawn; and his great- nieces and nephews, Baylie, Morgan, John Robert, Grant, Dawson and Jacob. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6- 8 PM at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
