Mr. Braswell was a loving father and grandfather. He served in the United States Army and worked as a medic while in the service. He enjoyed his work and made numerous friends working at Beverage South for over 30 years. Mr. Braswell was an avid fisherman and was a previous member of the Suburban Bass Masters Club. He also adored his dog, Smokey and also his dog who preceded him in death, Hoss.
Mr. Braswell is preceded in death by his parents, Ozzy Braswell and Ann Kitchens Neece; and a host of other relatives who passed before him. Survivors include his daughter, Beverly Parnell; granddaughter, Katelyn Leah Parnell; extended family, Dean and Diane Moore and their son Dustin Moore (Rachel); and wonderful neighbors and friends, Andrea and Jim McCloskey. The family wishes to thank Homestead Hospice, Dr. Merrill and Dr. Doshi for the wonderful care they provided. The family would also like to express their appreciation and thanks to his neighbor and friend who cared for him, Patricia Garth.
The family will forever be grateful for all the time Mr. Braswell spend with them on this Earth.
Graveside services will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 with military honors at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Pastor Mike Sides officiating. The family will receive friends from 12-2pm at Elliott Sons Funeral Home on Lumpkin Road on Wednesday, December 29, 2021.
