Sarah Julia Dees

Sarah Julia Dees, age 89, of Winter Haven, FL passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018. She was born November 21, 1928 in Wrightville, GA the daughter of Charles W. Askew Sr. and Annie Laura Smith. She was a member of the Village Church of God. She was Owner/Operator of Sara’s Flower Fashions in Bartow, FL for over 30 years.

In addition to her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur Dees and brothers: Gerald and Charles, Jr. She is survived by her daughters: Gail (Mike) Thomas, Sherry Franklin and Pamela Beck, sisters: Ruth Askew and Mae Wynns, grandchildren: Wayne, Kim, Jessica, Jennifer and Clay and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 10 till 11 am with funeral services at 11:00am, both at the Village Church of God. Burial to follow in Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens with a reception to follow in the Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, Auburndale, Florida
