Alabee was born on June 19, 1933, and on May 2, 1950, she married the most handsome man she had ever seen, Cecil A. Montgomery. Alabee was known for her strong will, feistiness, and most of all, her caring heart. There was no question as to her unwavering love for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time fishing and airboating with her husband, grandkids, and friends.
Alabee began her career with the Polk County Clerk of Courts. Later, she worked at Scotty's where she retired from after nearly 30 years of service. Alabee was strong in her faith and was affiliated with the Church of God.
Alabee was proceeded in death by: Mother and Father, John & Delsie Thompson, and her husband, Cecil Montgomery. Survived by: Daughters Debra Scott (Wayne), and Shelia Stidham (George); Son Roger Montgomery (Connie); Granddaughter Staci Scott, and Grandsons Brad Stidham (Teresa), Tristen Montgomery, and Wyatt Montgomery (Claire); Great-Grandson Justin Stidham (Kristin), and Great-Granddaughter Madison Stidham, along with other loving extended family.

A visitation for Alabee will be held Friday, November 1, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, 2198 K-Ville Ave, Auburndale, FL 33823. A funeral service will occur Friday, November 1, 2024 at 11:00 AM, 2198 K-Ville Ave, Auburndale, FL 33823. A graveside service will occur Friday, November 1, 2024 at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens, 2200 K-Ville Ave, Auburndale, FL 33823.
