LEWISTON – William (Bill) A Fournier, 70, of Auburn, ME and formerly of Wilton, ME lost his courageous battle with cancer on March 22, 2015 at CMMG Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born on September 17th, 1944 in Livermore Falls, ME, the oldest son of Leo and Aurore (Pelletier) Fournier. He attended parochial school in Chisholm and the Wilton schools. He graduated from Wilton Academy in 1965 and entered into the Army right after graduation being stationed in Germany and Korea, as well at the states. After being honorably discharged, Bill began his career as a truck driver in New Jersey. He married and brought up a family with 2 daughters. In 1993 he moved back to Maine settling in Auburn. He worked for several trucking companies and retired in 2009 for health reasons. He is survived by his best friend and fiancée Linda Bolduc of Auburn; Linda Fournier, mother of his children; his daughter Kathleen Gaeta and husband Tom of Cherry Hill, NJ, a daughter Karen Booth and husband Glenn of Mantua, NJ; a sister Barbara Stevens and husband Lynn of Newport, VT; a sister Jeanne Nichols and Raynie of Starks, ME. Pepere also leaves behind five granddaughters Colette, Antoinette, Juliette, Nicolette, Elizabeth, and one grandson Thomas, as well as, three nieces. Bill was predeceased by his father and mother and two brothers James Fournier and Kenneth Fournier. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the doctors for Bill’s care and special thanks to the nursing staff on the first floor, M1 unit for the care and kindness they showed to Bill and his family.
