LISBON - Stacen S. Doucette, 45, of Alma Drive in Lisbon, died unexpectedly after a very sudden illness on Monday, December 9 at his home. He was born in Lewiston on August 24, 1974 a son of Michael and Patricia (Morin) Doucette. He was educated in Lisbon and graduated from Lisbon High School Class of 1992, where he played four years of football, basketball, and baseball. Those who knew Stacen knew family and football were his life. As soon as he graduated, he started coaching football at Lisbon Middle School and then went on to coach at Lisbon High for 19 years. In 2012, he became head coach of the Oak Hill Raiders and won three straight State Championships. He loved coaching and it was a year round job for him, but he loved every minute of it. He considered every one of his players as one of his children and kept in touch with them, even after they graduated. Stacen married his true love, the former Danielle Turcotte on July 12, 1997 and together they settled in Lisbon and started their family. He worked for the last 27 years for Shaw's and was most recently working in their Wiscasset store.
Stacen is survived by his wife Danielle of Lisbon, their daughter Valerie and her companion Tyler LaCascio, his parents Michael and Patricia Doucette of Lisbon, his brother Keith Doucette of Lisbon, his nieces Samantha, Sabrina, Summer, Teagan, Piper, Kylie and Sophie, a nephew Miles, his mother-in-law Susan Turcotte, sister-in-law Briana Dulac and her husband Jeremy of Lewiston, brother-in law Christopher Turcotte and his wife Ryann Stergalas of Bloomfield MI. He was predeceased by his father-in-law Daniel Turcotte. Visitation will be on Saturday December 14 from 1 to 3 PM at Oak Hill High School in Wales. A memorial service will take place at 3 PM, followed by a Celebration of Stacen's Life. Arrangements are under the care of The Fortin Group Funeral Home in Auburn, Maine.
