Turner - Randall Alden Wells, 68, of Turner, Maine, passed away at his home on Saturday, June 16, 2018. He was born on August 21,1949 in Lewiston, a son of the late Forrest and Phyllis (Alden) Wells. He attended local schools, graduating from Leavitt Institute in 1967. He was a lifetime stone mason in Turner, a member of the First Universalist Church of Turner Center, he was a mason and belonged to the Nezinscot Lodge No. 0101 in Turner since 1972, he was also the president of Keene's Mills Cemetery and one of the founding members of the "Save Leavitt Institute Committee." On August 6, 2013, he married his long time love, Nancy Clark, in Turner, Maine.
He loved his Mountain. He loved his Rooney, Connor, Avery and Sierra. He loved whitetail deer hunting, brook trout fishing and doing his masonry. Among his many gifts to the community, he did the stone foundation under the old Turner Town House, donated the building of the chimney on The Institute Building, repaired the masonry in the basement room and restored the foundation of the Gingerbread House in Norway. These were but a few of the masonry artworks which can be found everywhere throughout Maine.
He will miss his good friends: George, Dale, Hartery, Abbott and The Buckfield Possee: Ted, Clint, Pork and Gene. Randy celebrated life with his family. His family was the most important thing in the world to him. He brought the family together for over 32 years for weekly dinners, sharing many laughs and always telling his stories.
He is survived by his wife: Nancy Clark of Turner, 2 sons: Travis Wells and wife Jen of Turner, Levi Wells and wife Meghan of Turner, 1 daughter: Rachel Nichols and husband Nick of New Sharon, 1 sister: Carolyn Honaker and husband Scott of Turner, 1 brother: Dan Wells and wife Pat of Boothbay Harbor, 4 grandchildren: Cameron, Connor, Avery and Sierra, several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Calvin, and his sister, Kathryn.
