Paul was born at home in Auburn on October 22, 1944 to Leo Bisson and Violet (Roy) Bisson. He grew up in the Lewiston/Auburn area, where he created lifelong friendships at Gino’s in New Auburn and the PAL Hop in Lewiston. Paul attended Auburn schools, graduating from Edward Little High School and later earning a business administration degree at Midstate College.
Paul married his high school sweetheart, Brenda Brackenbury, on February 17, 1968, enjoying over 55 wonderful years of marriage. They have two sons, Michael and Tim. Paul was a longtime Auburn resident where he and Brenda raised their family in a loving home.
Paul worked at Jones & Vining in Lewiston for more than 30 years and had the unique opportunity to live and work in China for several years. After retiring from his manufacturing career, Paul fulfilled a lifelong desire to work with children as an Ed Tech at Sherwood Heights Elementary School, where he was fondly known as Mr. B.
Paul was a poet and storyteller, always at the ready with a joke or riddle. He loved his family and looked forward to family gatherings in the backyard gazebo. He enjoyed woodworking and was an avid reader and crossword enthusiast.
Paul was a long-time member of the Sixth Street Congregational church, where he and Brenda were married, and later in life was an active member at the United Methodist Church of Auburn.
Paul is predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his wife; his son Michael and wife Kim Hunt, and granddaughter Camille of California; his son Tim and wife Jen and grandchildren Jack and Aiden of New York; his siblings Lorraine Webster of Florida, Lee Bisson and wife Marlene of Florida, Jeannine Craw and husband Jesse of Lewiston, and David Bisson and wife Linda of Mexico, Maine.
