AUBURN: P. Beverly Paiton, 84, died on Friday March 25, 2016 at the Hospice House in Auburn after a short illness with her family by her side. She was born in Augusta on January 16, 1932 a daughter of the late Paul and Laura (Thibodeau) LeClair. She spent her childhood in Augusta and was educated in the Augusta school system. Beverly met and married her late husband, Dwight, and moved to Auburn where she was a stay at home mother and housewife for all of her married life. She enjoyed driving up and down the coast of Maine with Dwight, visiting many special places along the way. She also enjoyed time spent at the family cottages at Cundy’s Harbor & South Harpswell, eating lots of lobsters & clams which were her favorite food anytime of the year. She also enjoyed going out to dinner with friends, playing cards and spending time at the casino with her gambling buddy. In her earlier years Beverly was an avid bowler, winning many trophies along the way. She was a great cook, she very much enjoyed cooking delicious family dinners and baking special treats for all to enjoy.
Beverly’s love was her family and especially her great-grandson, Joseph, whom she adored spending as much time with as possible. She loved playing games with him, watching movies together and mostly seeing him sink a basket at his basketball game. She is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Paiton-Small of Lewiston and Donna Nadeau and her husband Ralph of Auburn. She also leaves behind her three granddaughters, Kimberly Mancini and her husband John of Portland, Valerie Taylor and her partner Rusty of Wayne and Katie Nadeau of Portland as well as one great-grandson, Joseph Mancini of Portland and many cousins, nieces, nephews & friends. She was predeceased by her husband Dwight, her brother Leo Paul LeClair and her two sisters Constance Veilleux and Lorraine LeClair. Visitation will be Saturday April 16, 2016 from 10 Am to 11:30 AM. A Memorial Service will follow at Fortin\Auburn on Saturday at 11:30am. Committal prayers will be held at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery also in Auburn.
