She was born in Jay, Maine on December 21, 1920 the daughter of the late Thaddus and Rose (Lafrance) Jolicoeur.
On February 1, 1941 she married the love of her life Simeon (Jack) Raymond. They made their home in Lewiston, where they raised their four children, Robert (Bob), Leo, Nancy, and Gerry.
Jeannette was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Great-Great Grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter Nancy and Husband Marc Lamare, her son Gerry and wife Carrigan, Daughters-in-law Patricia Raymond and Sheila Raymond. Grandchildren, Lisa Raymond, Jeff Raymond, Ernie Coulombe, Misha Coolbaugh, Amanda Carrier, Brandi Shurek, Jason Raymond, Megan Lamare, Matthew Lamare, and Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren along with many special nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her dearly.
Jeannette was pre-deceased by Husband Jack (2005), Sons Leo (2015) & Bob (2019), Grandchildren Jeremy Raymond (1988), and Ann (Raymond) Shannon (2024), her Parents, Brothers and Sisters.
She was a woman of many talents including knitting (baby sets), crocheting, quilting, ceramics, and sewing. We enjoyed many wonderful homemade meals throughout the year. Some of her Specialties included, homemade baked beans and yeast rolls, holiday pie’s, applesauce fruit cake, chocolate candies.
During WWII, while her husband was serving his country, Jeannette was employed briefly as a welder (Rosie the Riveter) at BIW. She was a homemaker for many years and returned to the workforce and retired from CMMC.
In her later years, Jeannette enjoyed spending time with family, playing cribbage, making puzzles and coloring. She also enjoyed shopping followed by a meal at one of her favorite restaurants.
She was a woman of faith, a parishioner at St. Peter and Paul Church. In recent years Jeannette was a parishioner at St. Philips Church.
She proudly lived independently until the age of 101. She then became a resident of Sara Frye Home, where she enjoyed being part of the Sara Frye Family.

A Funeral Mass honoring Jeannette’s life will be celebrated on Friday, November 22, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Sacred Heart Church in Auburn. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM prior to the Mass at The Fortin & Pinette Group 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway in Lewiston, 784-4023.
