She was born in Auburn, January 13, 1916 the daughter of the late Narcisse and Atella Marchand Lavallee. Jeanne attended St. Louis School in New Auburn. She married Leopold Turcotte November 12, 1945 and he passed away in 1964.
She dedicated her life to her family, raising her two beloved sons.
Jeanne worked as a nurses' aide until her retirement in 1978. Jeanne was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish at St. Louis Church, Ladies of Ste. Anne Sodality and New Auburn Senior Citizens for many years. She enjoyed the company of her many friends and family, playing cards, bingo and senior citizen trips. She touched many lives with her wonderful sense of humor and brought much joy to those who knew her.
She is survived by her children, John Paul Turcotte of Bolster Heights, Auburn and Marc Turcotte and daughter-in-law Rachel Turcotte of Auburn; her beloved grandson, Steven Turcotte and his wonderful wife Heather of Lewiston and a beautiful great granddaughter Hailey Jeanne Turcotte.
Jeanne will be sadly missed by all who were blessed to have known her.
Visitations at Fortin/Auburn Tuesday from 2-4, 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday 10:00 AM at St. Louis Church. Committal St. Peter's Cemetery.
