Marianna Goulart Silva was born on June 18th 1947 at Highland Hospital in Auburn Ca. to Ed Goulart and Mildred Goulart. She had two brothers Ed and Joe Goulart (passed away 12 years ago.) Marianna grew up in Newcastle.She attended Loomis Grammar School On Taylor Rd in Loomis.,then went to Del Oro School and graduated in 1965. She was the Fiesta queen of the Holy Ghost Association in 1967. Marianna then went to Healds Business College after Sierra College majoring in Business. She met and married Joe R. Silva from the Azores Islands. After marriage she gave birth to her Daughter Dianna in 1969. Then ten years later had her son Joseph Michael in 1979. Marianna took her love of Baking and opened her Bakery in the late 80s. A little while after that she went to Ikedas to work and start the Bakery and was there for over 20,years. Her pies were bought by famous sports stars and Celebrities. She was in numerous newspapers and magazines. she was interviewed By Tina Machua on channel 31. Marianna was full of happiness and joy. She was. Very hard worker and very determined to do the best job possible. On February 7th 2020 her life was cut short at 72. She is survived by her loving husband Joe of 51, years ,her Daughter Dianna, her son Joe,her grandchildren Natalie and Nicole her brother Ed., her Sister in law Marian Goulart ,her nieces and nephew. And cousins. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 17, 2020 at Chapel of the Hills from 3-7 p.m. Rosary will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Auburn on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 10:40 a.m. follow by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. The burial will be at Newcastle Cemetery . Reception to follow at Sisters of Mercy 535 Sacramento Street, Auburn, Ca.
