Margaret was born to Prince and Effie Whisenant on October 7, 1932, in St. Clair County, Alabama. She is proceeded in death by her father, Prince, mother, Effie, brother, Billie Mack and bother James.
Margaret is survived by her sister, Emma Frances Whisenant, brother, Bo (Bonnie) Whisenant, niece, Pattie Whisenant Pender (Greg), great-nephew Christopher Pender (Ali), Ben Bryant (Tressa), their two daughters, (great-nieces), and Michielle Ray (Carey), their sons (great-nephews) and sons' wife and numerus other great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Margaret spent her time living in Boaz, Alabama where she worked for over forty plus years for the Goldkist Poultry Company and retired from their employ to pursue her favorite hobby of travelling which she enjoyed for many years.
She loved her lord as well as her church family at the First Baptist Church Boaz and her church family at New Hopewell Baptist Church in Ashville, Al. She also enjoyed teaching sunday school and being the class treasurer at the First Baptist Church of Boaz for many years. In later years she enjoyed her church family and pastor at New Hopewell Baptist Church.
Margaret was an awesome aunt who could keep up with the fastest of us nieces and nephews an nothing changed when the greats came along. Margaret loved children and would play until we were tired, as she could always keep going. She was greatly loved by all and will be missed.
Her funeral service will be Monday, October 17,2022 at Morgan Funeral Chapel and Crematory. Friends and family are welcome from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 2:00 p.m. conducted by the Reverend Johnny Wilson of New Hopewell Baptist Church.
