Funeral Service will be at 12pm Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Morgan Funeral Chapel with Larry Means officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10 until 12pm. Private family burial at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Sarah was a 1961 Graduate of Gadsden High School, she retired from Westat in 2014. She loved spending time with her grandkids, traveling, dancing, enjoyed watching football, HGTV, Gameshow Network and listening to country music. She was an active member of the Senior Center at Carnes.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Lydia Sheffield; her sisters, Lydia Loftin, Betty Sue Hicks, Fran Erwin, Virginia Sheffield; brother, Oscar Jr. Sheffield; and grandson, Parker Hyatt.
Sarah is survived by her son, Joey (Beth) Marler; daughter, Kim (Kelvin) Hyatt; grandchildren, Spencer Hyatt, Noah Marler and Samantha Marler.
Pallbearers will be Joey Marler, Kelvin Hyatt, Spencer Hyatt, Noah Marler, and Lance Barnes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Shepherd’s Cove Hospice.
