Roger Carroll Maples

Funeral services will be held at Morgan Funeral Chapel on Monday, August 30th for Roger “RC” Maples age 76 and burial will follow at Rainbow Memorial Gardens afterwards.

“RC” Maples, a resident of RBC, Al. he passed away peacefully at his home on August 26th of 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was raised in Etowah County and graduated from Emma Samson High School. He served in the Army National Guard from 1965-1971. On his return to Gadsden he started his career at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. A well-loved Pop, father, friend, brother and husband. His family meant the world to him and he had many lifelong friends. Pop rarely ever met a stranger. RC enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and watching Alabama football.

RC is preceded in death by both of his parents Marshall and Rebecca Maples.

His wife, June of 53 amazing years; sons Mickey and Pat (Ashley); daughter Mandy Haney (Brian); Grandchildren Kristin, Gracie, Chance, Dillan, Jacob and Jake and his siblings John Maples (Lisa) and Marsha Moore

Pallbearers will be John Maples, Chad Maples, Daniel Maples, Frank Amos, Jason Moore and Phil Sims

Honorary pallbearers will be James Whitaker, Phillip Amos, Ronald Hayes, Richard Hayes, Tom Kelly, James Bowers and Troy Nelson

Visitation will be held at Morgan Funeral Chapel on Monday, August 30th from 10am to 12pm with the service starting immediately afterwards.
