Mary Louise Seahorn White finished her race with Alzheimer at home with her family and went to be with the Lord August 7, 2018 shortly after celebrating her 91st birthday on June 19, 2018. She was a resident of Alabama for 87 years before moving to Virginia. Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years; Millard (Jimmy) White, parents, Della and James Seahorn; mother and father in-law; Jonah and Ida White; her sister Clara Mae Brown, brothers; Earl, Edward, and Howard Seahorn all from Gadsden, Alabama. Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Marsha Barron (Charlie) of Henrico, VA; Dianne Tillery, Hokes Bluff, AL and Sheila Dillard, Rainbow City, AL. Sons are Houston (Carolyn) White, Tupelo, MS; Robert (Linda) White, Pell City, AL; Curtis (Carol) White, Tanner, AL and Jimmy (Ira) White, Arab, AL. Louise left behind 17 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Louise was a devoted and caring mother. She truly loved her family and her extended family. Louise enjoyed traveling, cooking, sewing, and looking through cookbooks for new recipes. She enjoyed listening to good old Gospel music, working in her flower garden and swinging in her swing at sunset.
The family wishes to thank the Bon Secours Hospice Team for the outstanding care and compassion they showed to Louise during her final days. They are the absolute best at providing physical comfort and support for grieving families.Pallbearers are grandsons and great-grandsons; David White, MA1 Joseph White (US Navy), Dustin White, Christopher White, Sydney White, Kile Barron, Jaret and Logan Moneymaker. The family will receive friends for visitation at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Attalla on Saturday August 11, 2018 from 12 Noon to 1 P.M., followed by her funeral service in the chapel at 1 P.M. Following the funeral service, she will be laid to rest at Shiloh Cemetery. A brief visitation was held in Richmond Virginia where Louise had most recently been residing.
