Friends are invited to gather for Visitation at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Attalla, AL, on Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Mrs. Dunn will lie in state at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church on Friday, December 13, 2024, from 12:00pm until the time of the Funeral service at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Gary Smith, Rev. Blaine Burbanks, and Adam Collier.
Inez was born to Thomas Theodore and Mamie Lee Dillard on July 2, 1932, on Chandler Mountain in Steele, AL. She married her husband, Elvin Lee Dunn Jr. of 60 years old on February 4, 1951. They eventually settled in Birmingham, AL where they raised three daughters. She spent her life as a homemaker where she cared for her grandkids while their parents worked. Inez was saved on a Tuesday at 16 years old. She was a member at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by her husband, Elvin Lee Dunn Jr.; parents, Thomas Theodore and Mamie Lee Dillard; siblings, Mary Elizabeth, John Lavaughn, Emma Wilasue, Thomas Eugene, Walter William, and Troy Truman; and grandson, Ian Willmon.
Inez is survived by her children, Donna Lynn (Sidney) Pearman, Barbara Ann (Michael) Culbertson, and Lavonda Gayle Dunn (Neal) Cummings; grandchildren, Christopher (Cassey) Pearman, Sindy (Chris) Patton, Amy (Mike) Stevens, Jacob Pearman, Brooks (Kim) Willmon, Chace (Kelly) Willmon, Zachary (Katlyn) Cummings, Kynslee (Noah) Lewis and Landunn (Shelby) Cummings; and great grandchildren, Christian Christman, Lindsey Davis, Lindsey Stevens, Madyson Willmon, Chevy Patton, Brently Willmon, Madeline Stevens, Braelyn Willmon, Brynzee Willmon, Natalee Stevens, Mayson Pearman, and Bryson Willmon; 6 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Marilyn Reneman, Ivadean Giorodano, and Joyce Tripp; sister in law, Wanda Dunn; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Zachary Cummings, Chris Pearman, Landunn Cummings, Noah Lewis, Chace Willmon, Brently Willmon, and Mike Stevens.
Honorary pallbearers are Howard Dunn, Lonnie Dunn and Stephen Dunn.
