Jimmy Ray Morris, 76 of Ashville passed away June 6, 2022. Funeral Service will be at 2p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Victory Baptist Church with Bro. Robert McClung and Bro. Rhody Robinson officiating. Burial in the adjoining cemetery.
Jimmy was a lifelong resident of St. Clair County. He was hired as a policeman for the town of Steele in 1984 and proudly served the community for 26 years, retiring in 2010. Jimmy was a loyal deacon and member of Victory Baptist Church since 1997. He enjoyed fishing, tinkering in his shop and especially loved pestering his friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Morris; daughter, Phyllis Forsman; grandparents, Mack and Mamie Morris; sisters, Freida Murphree, Sherry Wilson; brother, Lane Wilson and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Joyce Morris; daughter, Kimberly (Todd) Wright; granddaughter, Alex Bierley (Brandon); grandson, Chance (Kathleen) Kessinger; granddaughter, Katie (Jeremy) Davis; granddaughter, Tori Carden; grandson, Michael (Eliza) Forsman; son in law, Jim Forsman; brothers, Clay Brasfield, David Wilson, Perry Wilson; and sister, Gail Wilson.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Victory Baptist Church 21778 US Highway 11 Steele, AL 35987.
Pallbearers will be Gary Cone, Austin Nash, John Bowlin, Greg Walker, Jim Clay, and Chris Long.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Sweat and John McWaters.

Visitation will be prior to the service Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Victory Baptist Church from 12:30 until 2p.m.
