Jimmie Lynn Jenkins

Jimmie Lynn Jenkins 79, of Southside passed away June 18, 2023. Graveside service with Military Honors will be at 2:30pm Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1 until 2pm at Morgan Funeral Chapel.

Jimmie served in the United States Air Force for 12 years during Vietnam. He worked as an airplane mechanic at Hayes in Birmingham and the Air Force Base in Columbus Mississippi. He then retired from Aerospace in Moblie, Alabama. Jimmie enjoyed spending time with his family and was a huge Alabama Football Fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pace and Nellie Jenkins; children; Howard and Mark Paul; brothers, Kenneth and Robert Jenkins; sisters, Sybil Neander, Jean Gagnon, and Nell Southern.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Jackie Smith Jenkins; children, Robbie Jenkins, Debra Landingham, Ronald and John Jenkins, Chris and Pace Jenkins, Kathy (Ronnie) Yow, Kay Paul, Tracy Marshall; brother, Thomas Martin Jenkins; grandchildren, Kevin Yow, Ronda Yow, Jerry Marshall, Joe Marshall, Garrett Paul, Dalton Jenkins, Eden Jenkins; and 4 great granddaughters.

Pallbearers will be Pace Jenkins, John Jenkins, Jerry Marshall, Joe Marshall, Ronnie Yow, and Garrett Paul.

In lieu of flowers, family request live plants.
