Vangie was a member of Rainbow Church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She prepared many delicious meals for her family as well as for others who were in need. Having grown up during the depression, she had a sincere desire to help the less fortunate whether it be making garments, buying Christmas presents or providing transportation to appointments. Her heart was filled with love for everyone. Mother truly embodied the Dorcas qualities of the Bible. She will be sorely missed.
Mother was a loving wife to her husband Paul, for 69 years. We were truly blessed to have loving, wisdom filled parents.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; her parents, John and Ida Cornelius; grandson, Jamey Dodd; sisters, Barbara Brown and Ruth Bridges; brothers, G.D. Cornelius, Troy Cornelius, Roy Cornelius, and Lloyd Cornelius.
She is survived by her daughters, Paula (James) Dodd, Sue (Ken) Walker, Renee (Kyle) Chambers; grandchildren, Laura Dodd, Anna (Brian) Daugherty, Claire (Daniel) Cameron, Olivia Chambers; great grandchildren, Grace Dodd and Jay Dodd; sisters, Audrey Talbot and Tommie Eubanks.
Pallbearers will be Joel Cleveland, Cade Cleveland, Charles Holliday, Kyle Chambers, Ken Walker and Daniel Cameron.
A special thank you to all who prayed for and helped take care of Mother.
