Burial will be at Rainbow Memorial Gardens.
Clarence was born on January 12, 1943 in Attalla. He was a graduate of Etowah High School, Gadsden State Community College and the University of Alabama. He was an avid Astronomy Teacher for young adults for many years. Clarence was also an ordained minister. He retired from the Attalla Postal Service after 35 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents Julian Otis Long and Fannie Vera Simpson Long; and his sister, Joyce Hamilton.
Clarence is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Janice Freeman Long of Rainbow City; sons, Scott Keith Long and Jeffery Allen (Melba) Long; daughters, Wendy (John) Long Cole and Kelly (Brian) Long Tuck; brother, David (Iris) Long; sisters, Faye (John) Thomas and Jackie (Larry) Hayes; aunt Louis and 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Long, Austin Vincent, Davey McCoy, Brian Tuck, John Cole, Stephen Hayes, Gary Long, and Allen Thomas.
Honorary pallbearers will be, Landon Tuck, Logan Tuck, Wade McCoy, and Justin Jett.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6pm until 8pm at Morgan Funeral Chapel.
