Carol " Betty " Harris

Carol "Betty" Harris, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on November 3, 2024, at the age of 56. She was a beacon of love, kindness, and strength to all who knew her and will be deeply missed.

Born May 5, 1968, Betty was a woman of unwavering devotion to her family. She married Randall Harris, and together they shared 11 years of happiness, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Betty was a loving and supportive partner to Randall, and they built a beautiful life together, filled with love and compassion.

As a mother, Betty was a source of wisdom, encouragement, and unconditional love to her daughter, Jennifer Edwards. She took great pride in watching Jennifer grow into the incredible woman, mother, and friend she became, always offering her guidance and support. Betty’s role as a grandmother was especially dear to her heart, and she found immense joy in spoiling her grandsons, Hunter and Mason. Her love for them knew no bounds, and she was a constant presence in their lives, offering them warmth, encouragement, and affection.

Betty's legacy will live on through her family, and her kindness, generosity, and sense of humor will forever be remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know her. She had a gift for making everyone feel seen and heard, and her presence could light up any room. Betty's family and friends will hold onto the countless memories of her laughter, her comforting embrace, and the profound impact she had on their lives and her spirit will forever live on in our hearts. Rest in peace, Betty, knowing that you were loved beyond measure. I love you forever mama.

In addition to her husband and daughter, Betty is survived by her grandsons, Hunter & Mason; son-in-law, Erick Edwards; along with close family friend, Mary. She was preceded in death by parents, DV James and Matilda Barron. She was the youngest daughter and was loved by her siblings, Brenda "Jodie" Parrish, Jesse James, Clyde "Boone" James, and Frank James.

Funeral services for Betty will be held at Morgan Funeral Chapel, Attalla, AL, on Friday, November 8, 2024. The family will receive friends in the Chapel from 12:00pm until the time of the service at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Bro. Frank James to officiate.

Pallbearers will be Tony Edwards, Chris Greer, Scott Tinsley, Josh Bates, Daniel Davis, and Irvin James.
