Billy Wayne Dobbins

Billy Wayne Dobbins, age 82 has passed into the next world on May 13, 2021. Viewing will be on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Attalla AL. Funeral Service will be at the funeral home on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Rainbow Memory Gardens. Morgan Funeral Chapel directing.

Bill was born on July 30, 1938 in Attalla, Alabama Etowah County to Fred Dobbins and Lillie Ruth Mayo. He lived his best life – he was a pilot, he rode his Goldwing and he also raced cars in his younger days, at 16 years old, he won the Texas State Championship at Texas Motor Speedway. He run for Senate, City Council and was heavily involved in politics. He spent ten years in service to the Country in the Army and the National Guard. He lives in Huntsville Alabama. He retired from the City of Huntsville. Bill also loved to fly airplanes therefore he got his pilot’s license.

Preceded in death by his parents, wife Myra Dobbins, one brother Jerry and one sister Judith Vice.

Survived by his Daughter Lisa Dobbins and her husband Roy, son Cotee Dobbins, two grandsons Jonathan Bridges, wife Tiffany and Bear Dobbins, three granddaughters Scarlett Harris, husband Jay, Cassie Bailey, husband Mark and Lilly Dobbins. He also has eight great-grandchildren Autumn, Kloie and Molly Bridges, Ethan and Isabell Harris, Keenan, Naomi, and Montgomery Bailey.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Bridges, Bear Dobbins, Jay Harris, Ethan Harris, Vic Stanfield, Steve Sykes.
