Allen Oden

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Friday at Morgan Funeral Chapel for Kenneth Allen Oden, 64, of Gadsden, who passed away on November 9, 2020. Rev. Mark Oden and Wendell Oden will officiate. Interment will be in Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Morgan Funeral Chapel will be directing the service.

Mr. Oden was born in Blount County on July 17, 1956. He was a 1974 graduate of Etowah High School. He had an associates degree in computer science from Gadsden State Community College. For years he worked beside his dad at Dixie Fence Company. He worked 20 years for Republic Steel Corporation and he also served in the U.S. Army. Allen loved God, his dogs Little Bit and Roscoe and motorcycles. He was an avid Alabama fan. He had a laugh and smile that will be missed and a heart full of love for his family and friends. He was always a giver and never a taker.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Dean Oden and daughter, Amber Oden.

Left to cherish his memories daughters, Mindy Oden O'Kelley (Deward), Jordan Oden; grandson, Jakoby Hill; sisters, Debra Guyton (Sherman), Sherry Battles (Ronnie); niece, Grace Guyton; nephews, Andrew Richardson (Kelly), Ryan Battles (Colbi); great nephew, Sawyer Richardson; special friend, Brenda Downing and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in his memory.

The family will receive friends from 1pm-2pm Friday at Morgan Funeral Chapel.
