William Douglas Morrison (Bill) died peacefully at his home on April 20,2020 from undiagnosed heart disease. He was born December 9, 1948 in Walla Walla, Washington. As the son of a career Air Force officer, Bill lived in a number of interesting places including Alaska (before it became a state) and Japan as part of his father’s overseas duties and crisscrossed our country countless times enjoying the diverse beauty and landmarks of our great country. All of this really whetted his appetite for travel, something he would spend much of his life doing. He attended the University of Mississippi, graduating in 1970 and worked at his family’s business, Morrison Flower Farm in Atlanta, Georgia. One of his early travel bugs came when he spent many years in Tokyo teaching Japanese executives to speak English where he made a number of lifelong friends. He traveled throughout many countries in the world. Bill was an avid reader and a lover of music. He was a wonderful cook and loved to entertain his many friends with a delightful meal where he was a gracious host. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Elaine and Bill Morrison and his brother, Michael Thomas Morrison. He is survived by his sister, Cynthia Morrison Seibels (Robert) of Montgomery, Alabama, 3 nephews, Robert Emmet Seibels IV (Faith), William Temple Seibels (Virginia), and Ryan Christopher Seibels (Mary Katherine) all of Nashville, Tennessee. He is also survived by 5 great nephews and 4 great nieces. He leaves behind to miss him many wonderful friends from all walks of life. Due to Covid-19, services will not be held.
