Tom was born in Whigham, GA to Dorothy Nell Perkins and Wendell Thomas Womble, Sr. on March 3, 1967. He went to high school at Cairo High School and received a Bachelor of Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1991. He also received a Master of Finance from Georgia State University in 1999. He has worked as the Vice President of Product and Account Management for CEDAR CX Technologies for 6 years, where he was valued greatly. Tom was also a veteran and served as a Lieutenant, JG aboard the USS Nicholson from 1991-1995. During his time in the Navy, Tom was awarded a Navy Achievement Medal, a Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with a bronze star, a National Defense Medal, a Southwest Asia Service Medal with a bronze star, an Expert Pistol Medal, and a Battle “E” Efficiency Ribbon. Tom was attending Buckhead Church at the time of his passing and was very passionate about the 24 hours of Booty Cancer Foundation. He was a devoted parent and co-worker with a love for biking, cooking, and Georgia Tech sports.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Nell Perkins and Wendell Thomas Womble, Sr.
Tom is survived by his daughters, Alexandra Elysse Womble and Ava Caroline Womble of Dunwoody.
The memorial service will be invitation only with family and close friends due to COVID-19 restrictions. There will be a reception open to all, at 3 P.M. on Saturday, September 19, 2020, at H.M. Patterson & Son-Oglethorpe Hill Chapel, 4550 Peachtree Rd., NE, Brookhaven, GA 30319.
