Edmarie Smith, 74, of Atlanta died December 1, 2010. Born in Tampa General Hospital to Antonio and Delores Muniz on June 24, 1936, Edmarie moved with her family to Jacksonville, Florida, where she graduated from Landon High School and then went to Florida State University and graduated with a degree in English and Literature. She married Robert P. Smith, Sr. on July 18, 1959 and recently celebrated their 50th anniversary in Atlanta. Survivors include her husband, Robert P. Smith, Sr., son, Robert P Smith, Jr. daughter and son-in-law Robin and Dylan Jenkins grandchildren Candace, Lindsey and Jesse Miller, brother and sister-in-law, Dr Antonio and Dr. Linda Muniz. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Georgia Chapter, 1925 Century Blvd, Suite 10, Atlanta, Georgia, 30345. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, December 5th from 1 to 3 at H.M. Patterson & Son, Oglethorpe Hill Chapel, 4550 Peachtree Road, NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30319.
