Dolores Ann Mitchell

Dolores was born in Davison, Michigan on October 4,1954 to proud parents William & Elizabeth (Davy) Lundy. She went to Bentley High School in Davison, Michigan. She was delighted to marry Joseph Michael Mitchell on December 1,1973 in Flint, Michigan. Dolores & Joe enjoyed 50 years of marriage, recently celebrating their Golden Wedding Anniversary. Dolores followed her professional dream of becoming a Registered Nurse and graduated from Broome Community College in Binghamton, New York in May of 1992. She was an active and adored member of her community, including at All Saints Catholic Church in Dunwoody, Georgia. She was a passionate animal lover and incredibly talented quilter best known for her big heart, extreme generosity, jovial spirit, and infectious laugh.

Dolores was preceded in death by her father William Herbert Lundy, her mother Elizabeth Francis (Davy) Lundy, her brother James Robert Lundy, and her granddaughter Delavigne Wynne Mitchell Bridger.

Dolores is survived by her beloved husband Joseph Mitchell, daughter Amy Mitchell Bridger, son-in law Nicholas Bridger, daughter Susan Mitchell Smith, son-in-law Larry Smith, daughter Sarah (Mitchell) Slater, and son-in-law Nathan Slater; her grandchildren Larry Smith III, Lara Smith, Xavier Mitchell, Zoe Slater, Lileah Slater, Kara Slater, Ethan Slater, Emma Slater, Finn Slater, Oliver Slater, and Calvin Slater.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 11a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, 2443 Mt. Vernon Rd., Dunwoody, GA 30338 with Reverend Father Michael Silloway leading Mass to honor her extraordinary life. Arrangements are made by H.M. Patterson & Son Funeral Directors.
