Cheryl Lynn Johnson

Cheryl Johnson, 47, passed away on June 18, 2022, in Brookhaven, Georgia. Even though she passed unexpectedly, her loving and giving heart and her bright smile will forever remain with those whose lives she touched.

Cheryl was born in Pullman, Washington, to Dan and Sandra Finnegan on January 10, 1975, she was the youngest of three daughters. She received her degree in psychology from The University of Washington in 1997. She moved to Atlanta in 2005, where she met and married the love of her life, Dan Johnson, on May 13, 2017, in a beautiful ceremony at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. Cheryl married later in life because she waited until she found her true soulmate, which she found in Dan and Dan found in her. Cheryl and Dan shared a beautiful and rare love where their two souls became one. They loved and honored each other fully each and every day of their marriage. The beauty of their relationship was clear to all who knew them and is the type of marriage many aspire to have someday.

Dan and Cheryl enjoyed traveling, especially to her happy place Key West, which they frequented. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, whom she loved dearly, and brightening their lives with her infectious smile and generous heart. Cheryl was known for her love for her family and friends. She was always there to help, whether it be big or small you could count on her to lend a hand.

Cheryl was treasured by her family and friends, and her light extended to her professional life as well. She was a successful businesswoman, from receiving accolades as one of the top sales representatives in the Southeast for her company to running her own business. Cheryl put her full heart into everything that she did which was clear to all those who knew her.

Cheryl is survived by her loving husband Dan Johnson, her dog she viewed as her son Boomer, her amazing parents Dan and Sandra Finnegan, her sisters Keely and Kara, her step-son and wife Danny and Christine Johnson, and her step-daughters Brittany and Ashley Johnson.

A celebration of life will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm Friday, June 24, 2022, at H.M. Patterson & Son-Oglethorpe Hill Funeral Home. Cheryl wishes to spend eternity traveling the world starting at her favorite place – Key West, Florida. Her ashes will be spread at a later date with the remaining to rest with her dog Winnie.
