Tommy was born in Athens to the late Mary Pettyjohn Norris and Cornelius Jefferson Norris. He graduated from Athens High School in 1964. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Lilburn and retired from Power Engineering, after a forty-year career in civil engineering. Tommy was an avid University of Georgia fan!
Tommy is survived by his wife of 57 years, Beverly Norris; sons, William Norris (Rebecca) of Braselton, Georgia; and Rusty Norris (Paige) of Loganville, Georgia; brothers, David Norris (Gaynelle) of Oakwood, Georgia; and Steve Norris (Marcia) of Flowery Branch, Georgia; grandchildren, McKenzie Smith, of Braselton; and Taylor Norris and Justin Norris both of Loganville; several nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, April 21, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM in Bernstein Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Dave Smith officiating.
Tommy will be laid to rest in Evergreen Memorial Park.
