He is survived by his brother, William Schmidt; children: Katie and Amy Schmidt; nephew, Isaiah Schmidt; fiancée, Ashley Murphy; and extensive family and friends who share in grief the loss of a kind-hearted, creative soul.
He brought vibrant conversation and connection to all he met with his ability to authentically be himself, and he will live on through memories and his artistic creations.
A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
