Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, Mr. Walker was the son of the late Leo Neil Walker Sr. and Helen Doane Walker.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents; his wife, Patty Lake Walker; and his son, Patrick Walker.
Survivors include his daughter, Deede Walker Bell of Watkinsville; and his grandchildren, Davis Bell and Katie Bell.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 7 from 5-7 p.m. at Bernstein Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 8 at 2 p.m. at Oconee Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Saint James United Methodist Church in Athens, or The Pulmonary Hypertension Association.
