Jane was the loving wife of the late James B. Kenyon, and is survived by her children, Cynthia Kenyon, Nancy Sont and Charles Kenyon; grandchildren, Kevin Benjamin Gabriel Damen, Virginia Nancy Joyce Damen, Alida Jane Sont, Daniel James Gerard Jarvis Sont and Abraham Willem Jewett Sont; great-grandchildren, Desmond Jean Louis Dumoulin and Zane William Daniel Damen.
Jane was born and raised in Connecticut farmland, the daughter of Francis and Gertrude Jackson, and she had wonderful childhood memories of her family, dogs, goat, and her beloved horse Princess Pat. She attended the College of William and Mary, and later moved with her family to Athens in 1963. She was the head administrator of UGA’s Department of Physics and Astronomy until her retirement. Jane was kind, funny, and had a great love of life. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
A memorial service will be held at Bernstein Funeral Home, Athens, on Saturday, January 30 at 11:00 a.m.
