Ed was born in New Jersey on October 1, 1940, to the late Elmer Fluck and Mary Fluck-Harker. Ed was also preceded by his partner, Edward Kerwin and his brother Walter “Dennis” Fluck. Those left to cherish his memory include his stepfather, John Harker; sister, Jean Neulen; brothers, James, David, and Paul, as well as Paul’s wife, Suni, nieces and nephews and the many grateful students of Glassboro High School.
Ed graduated from Woodbury High School in 1958, served in the Marine Corps (1961-1965) and returned home to operate a Gulf Gas station. He then attained an associate degree and a teaching certificate and went on to teach auto shop and other vocational skills for 23 years at Glassboro High School. Ed was passionate about automobiles, trains, and airplanes. He shared those passions by organizing road rallies, field trips, and starting a flying club to introduce his students to aviation.
