Mark was born on August 11, 1948, in Berkeley, California. After Mark graduated from Mobile County High in Grand Bay, Alabama, he went on to study mechanical engineering at Auburn University and the University of Soutth Alabama.
After graduation, Mark worked as a nuclear engineer at Northrop-Grumman in Pascagoula, Mississippi, and for Tennessee Valley Authority Browns Nuclear Plant.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Reg and Helen Dover, one sister, Marjorie Dover Ross, his former wife, Lynda Lauderdale Dover, and his wife, Dixie Maroney Dover.
Hs is survived by his two daughters, Kimberly Dover McReath and Caitlyn Dover Hill, seven grandchildren, and four siblings, Susan Dover Dees, Randall Dover, Jeff Dover and Jenny Dover.
A visitation will be held at McConnell Funeral Home in Athens, Alabama, on November 23 from 2:00-4:00 with services to follow at 4:00 pm.
