Mary Lou Hill

Mary was born to Homer and Geraldine Johnson Hall on November 3, 1949 in Kentucky.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert Hill and son Kelly Hill.

Survivors include her daughter Pat Knowles (Doyle); two brothers Elmer Hall (Norma) and Larry Hall (Terrie); sister Brenda Jordan; five grandchildren Jack Watts (Amber), Robert Hannah (Sarah), T.J. Hannah, Megan Couch (Bob) and Jessica Hill; ten great grandchildren Colton Watts, Kellen Watts, Courtland Watts, Jackson Hannah, Thomas Hannah, Midge Hannah, Zachary Hannah, Xander Roden, Ripley Leweire, and Kelliann Hagemeyer.

Mrs. Hill was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was a published author of the book Never Trust a Skinny Cook. The Athens News Courier featured her column “Crumbs of Candor.” Mary was also a devout ambassador of Jesus Christ.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 29, 2024 from 10am-12pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Service will begin at 12 pm with Bishop David Dunford presiding. Burial to follow at O’Neal Cemetery.
