Laura Brown Gordon

Laura was born on October 14, 1966 in Limestone County, AL to Douglas Clanton Gordon and Kathryn Brown Gordon. She is preceded in death by her father, her nephew Jeffrey Rhodes, her step-father Richard H. Hall and her siblings Lisa Hall Gilbert and Richard N. Hall.

Laura was a member of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, where she had served as an acolyte. She loved music and found pleasure in playing her bass and attending concerts. She was a fan of the Auburn Tigers and enjoyed sporting events of many kinds. Laura had a wonderfully unique sense of humor and could always be counted upon to share funny videos and jokes with her friends and family. We will miss her contagious laughter.

Laura is survived by her mother, Kathryn Gordon Hall of Athens, her brother Skip Gordon (Cynthia Adams) of Huntsville, sisters Martha Rhodes (Jeff) of Florence, Mary Beth Young (Mike) of Athens, Diane Hall (Pola Carter) of Huntsville, and many nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great nieces.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 5, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church with burial at Athens City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
