She was born on June 16, 1949 in Limestone County, AL to Wallace Steele and Louise Strange Steele.
Ms. Steele is preceded in death by her parents, one brother William Archie Steele, and one sister Winkie Plunk.
She worked at Houston Memorial Library for 30 years. Ms. Steele was an avid reader, who loved to Joke, write and tell stories. She remembered everyone’s birthday. She had a special calendar full of Birthdays. Ms. Steele loved her horses.
She is survived by her son Jason Nunley and wife Misty of Athens, AL; two grandchildren Chaston Harris and Brooklyn Pitts; and one great Wallace Pitts.
Funeral service will be Sunday November 12, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at McConnell Memorial Chapel.
Visitation will be Sunday November 12, 2023 from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at McConnell Funeral Home.
