Dennis began his young adult life searching for a place to call home. After living in Oregon and San Bernardino, he settled in Southern California’s Apple Valley. Apple Valley was the place to call home and start a family of his own. Quick Fence Co. was established in 1977 and Dennis earned an honest living building every type and style of fence imaginable. Fortunately for Dennis, in 1978, he had the opportunity to build a fence for Roy Rogers, and he did just that. In 1988, Dennis set his sights on another location to finish raising his family.
Finally moving to San Luis Obispo County and living in Templeton for a short while, Dennis finished his days in Atascadero as a longtime resident. Dennis met his love in Atascadero and their deep friendship, always with an open heart, Dennis Quick and Laurie Popejoy joined each other’s lives in marriage on March 10, 2001.
Both Dennis and Laurie were huge fans of the NFL, often traveling to watch the 49ers play in Candlestick Park. Dennis and Laurie would often watch the game at home together as well. Dennis enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially with his sons.
Dennis is preceded in death by his brother, Frank; his mom, Joan D. Hanna and his dad, Everette C. Quick. Devoted to his family and friends, he was a beloved husband, dad, and grandpa.
Arrangements under the direction of Chapel Of The Roses Mortuary, Atascadero, CA.
