On November 30, 2017, Charles Edward Hutchison age 50 went to heaven. He passed away peacefully with his wife and Aunt Jamie by his side. Charles was born November 28, 1967 in Huntington Beach CA and graduated 1986 from Atascadero High School.
Charles was employed as a Heavy Equipment Operator for 32 years in both the oil fields, new and demolition construction and waste management. Charles was an avid fan of muscle cars, drag racing and car stereos.
Charles had several dogs and cats along with chickens and goats that he adored and would spend time feeding and playing with daily. To his family and friends Charles was considered a “Gentle Giant.” Some of the younger children in our family called him Big Cookie, he was a big teddy bear, he gave big hugs that were warm and kind. He will be deeply missed.
Charles was very much a family man who loved his family and his animals. Charles loved being at the lake and beach with his family and friends either riding his quad or being on the lake. Charles loved his family and put his heart and soul into his two girls (Jennifer and Jessica) and loved his two grandsons (Kylar and Kooper). His grandsons were his pride and joy.
Charles loved going to Starbucks and had a very special bond with most of the baristas in Atascadero and Paso Robles. Charles loved to socialize with his friends and family. Charles never knew a stranger He would make friends where ever he went.
Charles will be remembered and cherished by his loving wife of 26 years, Mary Lou and their two daughters, Jennifer (Skylar Malone) and Jessica Hutchison. Two Brothers Roger (Angela) and David (Anita) Hutchison. Mother in Law, Marilyn Sorenson (Gary Kerwood) and Aunt Louise and Uncle James Wiley. Three Aunts, Charlette (Ken) Gregory, Jamie McCabe and Lynette Hutchison. Sister In Law, Margaret Thompson, Brother In Law David (Carolyn) Thompson and Juanita Thompson. Four Nieces, Bridget (Justin) Welch, Ashley (Dustin) Keasling, Courtney and Shelby Hutchison. Five Nephews, Nicolas Hutchison, Colby Thompson, Dustin (Stevie Alvarez) Lorton, Jacob (Shandra McCreary) Lorton and Wyatt Thompson. He is also survived by many cousins, great nieces and nephews, extended family and a lifetimes worth of dear friends.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents Roger and Jerry Hutchison. His Grandparents, Jim and Maureen McCabe and Nina and Charles Hutchison. Father In Law, Bill Thompson. Two Aunts, Linda Randolph and Janine Hutchison along with two Uncles, Charles Edward Hutchison and Douglas Hutchison.
Charles’s Family is planning a graveside service at the Santa Margarita Cemetery with a Celebration of Life to follow his service. Charles's family wants to celebrate his life and remember him with his favorite comfort food and shared memories. Services are being planned by his family and the Chapel of the Roses. His service will be posted on Facebook with the date, time and location (tentatively the first week of January 2018).
