Predeceased by his wife, S. Anne Holman (nee Pederson) March 14, 2022, and his younger brother Spencer, George is survived by son Glen Holman (Filipe Dasilva), daughter Crystal Holman (Scott Porter).
George was born March 1, 1938 in Toronto, Ontario. He received all his education in Toronto, joined the Royal Canadian Air Cadet and proceeded directly into the air force. He obtained his Officer Commission in 1958, retired as Major and went on to become chief pilot for Pratt & Whitney Canada. For six months in 1975, George served with the UN peacekeeping operations in the Middle East during the conflict between Egypt and Israel.
While stationed in Moose Jaw, George met Anne Pederson, a telephone operator, on October 8, engaged January 8 and married April 8, 1961 at Congress, SK. As George was a pilot, they resided in Moose Jaw, Winnipeg, Montreal, Edmonton, Greenwood, NS and Dartmouth, returning to Montreal. Following his retirement, they moved to Regina. Anne and George spent 26 winters in Mesa, Arizona where they enjoyed socializing with many friends..
George found great pleasure being with family and friends. He and Anne liked the CFL, appreciated the opportunities to travel to South Africa, Europe, Alaska, New York and Hawaii to name a few. George also was fond of model trains and woodworking, gift giving many items.
