Donna was born in Melaval, SK on October 26th, 1933. She was raised, along with her five siblings, in McCord, SK, enjoying competitive baseball and curling in her younger years. Donna went to school in Calgary to become a nurse before moving to Rockglen where she met and married her husband Billy Stewart. They raised eight children together and Donna had the pleasure of watching her grandchildren grow on to have their own children as well. She was very proud of her growing family and loved all of her thirteen great-grandchildren very much. Donna was a hard working woman who was always involved in her community, especially the community rink - running the concession and volunteering. She was an avid churchgoer and was very strong in her faith. She loved to give back in any way she could and a lot of the time that was through sharing her excellent baking skills with friends, family and the community; especially her world famous buns. Donna loved cards, puzzling, cooking, baking, socializing and was a talented creative seamstress making personalized quilts for her children and grandchildren and leaving them with a great keepsake in her memory. She was a very good conversationalist and always remembered all of the facts of what was going on with her family and friends, never forgetting a birthday or anniversary, and always taking the time to write and send a letter. She was a very admired and respected woman and will be missed dearly. A service is to be determined at a later date. Donations in memory of Donna may be made to the MS Society or the Kidney Foundation of Canada PKD - go to their websites to donate or the Rockglen Community Rinks Ice Plant, Box 328, Rockglen, SK S0H 3R0.
