Donald Leroy Anderson

With great sadness the family announce the passing of Donald (Don) Leroy Anderson, at age 73, on Friday, June 13, 2014 at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital. Don was born in Assiniboia, SK on March 28, 1941. As a child, he attended Hawley School and Assiniboia High School. Don enjoyed farming on the family farm both with his dad and brother Vernon and later on with hired help. While living on the farm, he had two special dogs Findo and Butch. Don later moved off of the farm and into Assiniboia where he looked after his mom until her passing in 1982. He always enjoyed his time spent with his Assiniboia friends and loved watching his western specials. In 2000, Don moved to Moose Jaw, SK. Predeceased by parents, Otto and Mabel Anderson, brother, Vernon Anderson, sister, Glenda Dean and brothers-in-law Mike Daniels and Reg Dean, Don is survived by one sister, Vera Daniels, niece Glennys (Ross Reaburn), great-nieces Amanda (Greg) Olson and Samantha Reaburn (Derek Chorel). Thank you to Dr. Ramadan and the nurses of the Moose Jaw Union Hospital. FUNERAL SERVICE will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Messiah Lutheran Church, Assiniboia, SK. Pastor Larry Glaeske officiating. Pallbearers are Ross Reaburn, Greg Olson, Travis Eldstrom, Wayne Griffin, Ed Bellay, and Grant Sangster.
