She was preceded in death by her parents William J. and Agnes C. Edwards and brother, James “Jimbo” R. Edwards, all of Montpelier, VA. Survived by her loving husband, Robert E. Perkins, of Ashland, VA, sister Linda E. Pleasants of Ruckersville, VA, brother William “Johnny” J. Edwards (Joan “JoJo”) of Rockville, VA and sister, Shirley E. Fleming (Wayne) of Louisiana. Nora had many loving step-children, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was dearly loved by them all.
Nora loved her husband and family and delighted in enticing them with pleasant recollections of her early years; her stories made you laugh out loud and occasionally cry. She loved traveling with Robert, always eager for the adventure, especially in her red convertible. She loved music and enjoyed singing each tune. Nora loved her pets and treated them all as her babies. She also loved growing flowers and sharing them with you. Nora knew how to touch your heart and our hearts will forever be filled with Nora’s love and fond memories.
There will be a celebration of life that will be announced at a later date.
