Jean C. Hall, 84, of Beaverdam, passed away peacefully in her home on January 8, 2021. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 50 years, William T. Hall, Jr., and her beloved son, Gary Douglas Bryant. Jean is the daughter of Albert C. Fletcher and Shirley Jones McCrone, and the sister of Annette F. Armistead, all preceding her in death. Jean is the loving mother to Wayne Bryant (Pam), Karren Bryant O’Connell (Danny), Cathy Hall O’Connell (Patrick), William “Tubby” T. Hall, III, and Donna Hall Downey (Marty). Known as Nanny/Nana to her family, Jean is the cherished grandmother to 18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren (+2 on the way), and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Jean loved to crochet, bake, and cook for her family, and she is known for her strength of will, loving heart, and steadfast devotion to her family.
The family will receive friends 12 (noon) to 1:30 PM Wednesday January 27, at Nelsen Funeral Home –Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington HWY, where her services will follow at 1:30 PM. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
