Lowry, Elizabeth Nuckols “Sis”, 86, the widow of Ernest L. Lowry, Jr., passed away on Monday, March 10, 2014. She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Duke Nuckols; mother, Lessie Nuckols Riner; a son, Irving L. Lowry and his wife Karen. She is survived by her son, Ramon E. Lowry and his wife Gray; two brothers, Murrell Nuckols and his wife Joyce and Win and his wife Gerry; a sister-in-law, Ann L. Black; three grandchildren, Anna Elizabeth Lowry, Robert Mann Lowry and his wife Laura, and Diane Lowry Jackson and her husband Leroy; three great-grandchildren, Ava Lowry, Anaya Jackson and Desmond Jackson. Sis lived on the Old Glebe Farm for 63 years. She was a bus driver and worked in the cafeteria at Beaverdam Elementary for many years. The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm on Friday, March 14, 2014 at the Nelsen Funeral Home, Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy, Ashland, VA where services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 15, 2014. Interment will be in the Family cemetery.
