She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Johnson.
Carol was born in Baltimore Maryland and raised on our family farm in Doswell Virginia. She was an avid bowler loved working in her greenhouse and had a successful home-baking business.
She is survived by her son, Chris Green, and his wife, Dawn Parker-Green, and her son, Troy Johnson, and his wife, Brandy Johnson; grandchildren, Alayna Johnson, TJ Johnson, Austin Johnson, Emma Green, Amber Cornett, Troy Cornett, Jared Parker, and Brendan Parker; sister, Linda Bruce; brother, John Wayne Bruce; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, from 4 PM to 7 PM at Nelsen Funeral Home - Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Highway, Ashland, VA 23005. A funeral service will begin at 11 AM on Wednesday, January 31 at Nelsen Funeral Home - Reid Chapel with burial to follow at Woodland Cemetery, 11310 Hanover Ave., Ashland, VA 23005.
