Walter Henderson

J. Walter Henderson, age 85, of Imperial, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. He was born on April 12, 1938 in Newtown,N.B., Canada to the late Thomas and Alice (nee Bradley) Henderson; beloved husband of the late Bridget Henderson; special friend of Mona Doucette; loving father of Shelley (Kirk) Zoph, Joe (Shirley) Henderson, Steve (Monica Mc Amish-Bahr) Henderson and Jeff (Judy) Henderson; loving grandfather of Matthew (Amanda) Henderson, Michael (Jordan) Henderson, Marcus Henderson, Casey (Taylor) Stewart, Alyssa (Trevor) Eaton, Courtney (Ryan) Meyer, Chloe Henderson and Alec Zoph; great grandfather of Briley, Addison, Oliver, Liam and Halle; dear brother of Anne Amero and the late Gerald Henderson, Mary Sullivan and John Henderson; dear brother-in-law of Ursula O'Toole, Susan Murray and Thomas Henkes; dear uncle and friend to many.

Walter served in the Royal Canadian Navy. He was a member of the Woodworkers Guild, International Brotherhood of Boilermakers and was a Master Gardener.

A visitation for Walter will be held Tuesday, April 16, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd, Arnold, MO 63010. Funeral service will be celebrated Wednesday, April 17, 2024, 10:00 am in the funeral home chapel. Interment Shepherd Hills Cemetery 1925 Old Hwy M, Barnhart, MO 63012. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Walter's Honor may be made to the Disabled Veterans, St. Jude Children's Hospital or to St. Louis Children's Hospital.
