Teresa was born December 10th, 1953 in Arlington but resided with her family in Marysville, WA, she was the youngest of 5 siblings.
On her own and in her mid-twenties she met the love of her life, her husband, Timothy (Tim) Daugherty of N. Dakota. Terry and Tim met in the month of May and shorty after had a little backyard wedding on July 15th, 1978. Together they bought their forever home and brought into the world their only child they shared together, Lacey. They shared 20 loving years together before her husband's passing in 1998. Teresa resided in their Arlington home for 54 years.
Teresa dedicated her professional life in the field of education, working as a para-educator for the Arlington School District, retiring with 30 years under her. She spent most of those 30 years working at Post Middle School just a few miles away from her home. She was well loved and always remembered by past students, staff and even parents for her caring, do anything to help you/your child succeed, after school activities and feisty "tell ya how it is, but I love you..." type attitude. Her family and friends will remember her for always being there to lend an ear and share a good laugh with.
Teresa was preceded in death by her husband, Tim Daugherty, mother Viola and father Arnold Jacobsen, siblings Delores, James (Jim) and John Jacobsen.
She is survived by her daughter Lacey Daugherty and her husband Josh Zmuda, sister Verna and Dave Molstad and three beautiful grandchildren Natalie, Titus and Vivian. She will also be missed by her two best friends Shelly Larson and Carolyn Erickson, along with her Aunt Jean, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and their children. She also leaves behind her recently extended family, Brad Diffley his 2 children Emma and Jack.
A Celebration of Life will be held September 14th at 2 pm, at Post Middle School in Arlington.
