Richard (Dick) Olson was born and raised in Arlington WA. After graduating high school, he continued working and was later drafted into the Army. When he returned he and his buddy, Don, started Olson and Taylor Inc.
Dick spent his days in retirement traveling with his wife, mowing the grass, chopping and stacking wood, and meeting his friends in town for coffee multiple times a day.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Regis (Gussie) Olson and their two children, Wayne Olson and Nancy (Bill) Cummins; four grandchildren, Nolan (Kellie) and Jenell Cummins, Hannah and Jonathan Olson; great grandson, Lukas Cummins; and four siblings, Joyce, Marvin (Carol), Elaine, and Karen (Gary).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gustaf and Hilma Olson.
Services will be at Weller Funeral Home, viewing at 10:30am followed by a service at 11:00am, Thursday, May 25 2023.
In lieu of flowers, in honor of his wife, Donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
